Short Film — 13′
2D animation
The young woman Shari is facing death due to advanced cancer. During her attempt to escape the confrontation with her family, the sky falls down on her and she ends up in space. There she meets cosmonaut-dog Laika who faced death herself when she was shot to space in 1957. In a spiritual journey through space, she guides Shari through the stages of denial, anger, fear, letting go and gratitude. Shari understands that the cancer is bigger than herself, but that she is not dead yet. She returns to her family to spend the time she has left with them. Together they prepare her for her own last rocket launch
