Ernestine
SYNOPSIS
Tv Special — 26′
2D animation – TV Paint
Smart-ass, red-head, dark-humored, a chain smoker and a poker player: meet Ernestine, 9 years old. She lives in a painfully average suburban French neighborhood with her family: her father Hervé, a mediocre artist who paints himself away from domestic chores, and Adrien, her walking teenage cliché of a brother. No wonder her mother Louise is always on the verge of a mental breakdown and barely keeps it together thanks to her daily glass of Château Bordeaux…
Through her sharp eyes (and dirty mouth), Ernestine has a blunt, yet insightful take on our Western civilization. And as we tag along, it’s clear she might care a bit more than she’d ever admit: about her family, her friends—maybe even about life.
